| We were wondering what Wayne Fontes was doing,
now that he no longer is leading the Detroit Lions, and then we wondered,
"Who were his predecessors, and what are they doing?", since it seems that
after you coach the Detroit Lions, you coach no more. We were able
to find info on our favorite former coach, but haven't had much luck
with the others.
If you know where former Detroit Lions' Head
Coaches are now, please ,
and we will update this page. |

Where do I go from here?
Former Detroit Lions head coach Wayne Fontes
arrived in Europe the week of April 22, 1997 for a two-week stint as a
color commentator on FOX's English-language broadcasts of WL games.
Mr. Fontes is an expert in the primary colors
and beige.
Rumor has it, Wayne's next stop is Disney Land.
This Just In writes: "You may have been close in your prediction of Wayne going to Disney,
but I think it may have been Disney World (Orlando, FL) not Disney Land
(California).
You wanted to know some info on Wayne Fontes.
He is currently living in the Tampa Bay area, Florida. Which city I don't
know? So far during the 2000 NFL season Wayne has been a regular at the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers home games. He has a box seat and cheers on the
Buccaneers.
That is all the info I can give you, hope
this information is of help in your quest for Fontes info."
We fear that Wayne's cheers are only there to fool
the public. We hope we're mistaken, and that all is well... we may
never know for certain.

Is good help hard to
find?
The latest casualties of the Miami Dolphins'
1995 coaching staff were announced on Wednesday, January 17, 1996.
Offensive
line coach Monte Clark was fired on Monday January 15, 1996 by new head
coach Jimmy Johnson.
Coach Johnson began scouting later that week
in Mobile, Alabama for a less offensive line coach to replace Mr. Clark.
