Macabre

Based on a story written by 13 different authors working under the pseudonym of Theo Durant, the story is about a small town doctor who leads a search for his missing daughter who has supposedly been buried alive by a mad psycho (is there another kind?). There are a couple of murders, a nice plot twist, an alterior motive, and the rest is classic horror film. This film was William Castle's first thriller as a independent producer. While not available on tape it is worth seeing if you can.

Included with the price of admission, each movie goer was insured by Lloyds of London for $1,000 against "Death-by-Fright". When you purchased your ticket you signed a legal document, and you were now insured.
